Fashion is an addiction to many and this is where famous fashion designer and entrepreneur Valention Garavani got his inspiration for launching his change-gaming virtual fashion museum at a party held last week in Manhattan’s IAC Headquarters. As expected, his launch party was star studded including famous Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Zoe, Claire Danes, and Olivia Palermo.

Valentino has set to revolutionize the fashion industry after opening doors to his virtual museum full of fashion collections, videos, dresses, and information. The best way to immortalize his legacy is by creating a digital platform where fashion followers can download and access anytime. Valentino’s virtual museum desktop application showcases 100 fashion shows archive videos, interactive 360degree views of nearly 5,000 dresses, and a tour of Valentino’s word including personal sketches, collection celebrities wearing his line, and more in 3D.

It was hard a task to take. According to Valentino himself, ''I wanted to show not only clothing, but also the history behind them, from the designs to the women who wore them. I do not have a good relationship with technology and at times I cannot even turn on a television or put in a DVD without help. My work is with concrete things. I was used to touching the clothes, materials and the models who wore them.” Highly valuable to fashion students and enthusiasts, Valention’s downloadable desktop application is accessible anytime. Rich in fashion knowledge and history, Valentino also filled the application with his personal background and journey.

Currently, Valentino is talking with the City of Rome in building his physical museum like what Gucci opened in Florence. As of now, they have this to offer. Mr Giammetti, Valentino’s partner says, “The 360 degree virtual fashion museum will remain an integral part of Valentino’s legacy because it can continue to evolve, integrate modern technology, utilize unlimited cyberspace and speak directly to Generation Y.”
