How to create a clipping path

The technique is also called masking, a vector mask or vector path. 3sixtyfactory can help you create clipping paths for your images. We have worked with many of the most famous brands in the world and our premium retouchers have many years of training in creating clipping paths. Its possible to create many clipping paths in the same image.

1. Open an image you want to work on

2. Press Ctrl + J to duplicate the background.
3. Delete the background image located in the layer window by selecting the background image and press the delete button (trash can icon in the lower part of the layer window)
4. Click on the pen tool in the tool bar
5. Click on the image to make a starting point for the clipping path, point should be made a little inside of the image
6. You may control the curvature of the path by pressing cntrl or alt in you keyboard and adjusting the tangent points of the path.
7. Create another point by clicking and dragging the left mouse button to shape the curve of the path.
8. Continue clicking and dragging and making points until you’ve path the entire image.
9. To finish it of, you need to click the starting point in order to close the path.
10. Right click you mouse and select “Create vector mask".
