Lesson 05 - Clipping Path Insert

 

1. Open the image to work on and the insert image.
2. Use a marquee tool and select the part of the insert image to use.
3. Use the move tool and drag the insert image to the working image.
4. Set the opacity of the insert to 50%.
5. Use Ctrl + T (you can resize, tilt, rotate the insert image) to transform the image to fit in to the working image.
6. When its match, put the opacity back to 100%.

7. Click on the background image under layer menu and pres Ctrl + J to duplicate the layer.
8. Drag the duplicate layer on top of the insert layer.
9. Use Path tool and make a path on where the insert image should appear.

10. Right click on the path and click "Make Selection", set feather to zero (0).
11. Press Delete.
12. Press Ctrl + D to deselect.
13. Select the insert layer, press Ctrl + L and adjust it so the insert layer looks darker.
14. In the layer window create an new layer and place the new layer on top of the insert layer.
15. Use soft round brush set the color to black and 100% opacity, make a shadow around the hole we created.

16. Set the new layers opacity to low opacity like 10% or 15%.
17. Go to "Layer" menu and select "Flatten Image".
18. Make a path around the image.
19. When its done right click on the path and click Make selection, Set feather to zero (0).
20. Ctrl + Shift + I to select inverse.
21. Press D to reset your swatches and to make the background white, and press Delete.
