9 Days ago Logos Technologies Inc., a US-based Surveillance Systems developer has provided the country's Naval Air Systems Command two of their signature Krestel wide-area 360-degree surveillance systems. This has been a concrete project from LOGOS after a successful completion in the Yumi, AZ Proving Grounds.

David Luber, Logos Program Manager mentioned one major benefit of their 360-degree Aerostat-Based Surveillance System to the country, "It is deeply satisfying to provide the power of Kestrel's persistent surveillance solution to our war fighters. "This is going to explosively expand the soldier's situational awareness of the activity surrounding the FOB."

LOGOS Krestel system is the world's first aerostat-based 360-degree motion-imagery system that is currently added to the PTDS - Persistent Threat Detection System and PGSS aerostats - Persistent Ground Surveillace System. It continuously covers an expansive area consistent with airborne platforms. According to LOGOS the Krestel 360-degree surveillance systems features can drastically improve war fighters performance, "Kestrel features multiple viewer windows, watch-box trigger alerts, digital zoom and sensor cross-cueing to track and locate activities of interest, thus increasing forward operating base protection and ISR support to forward deployed units." In addition to these, Krestel also continuously records and stores the entire field of view for in-depth forensic analysis having the system's 360-degree sensor and companion ground processing station integrated wuth PTDS aerostat command center and will be later on deployed to theater in Summer.

In future Logos Technologies Inc. also mentioned in their announcements that they are developing EO/IR Krestel 360-degree surveillance systems to be delivered to NAVAIR in the fall.
