There were quite a number of interesting innovations in the industry last year that made a major impact in most of us. Most of them stood to what they promise and some were just okay. One of the most stunning ones is Kogeto’s DOT 360 degree accessory lens for the iPhone 4S.

It is still fresh in our minds how Kogeto’s DOT 360 degree lens started on Kickstarter and finally made it to retail in no time. We fell in love right at first sight with the lens’s slick design and function. DOT is a stick-on lens that you attach to your iPhone to shoot 360 degree video in a single click.

Great for us who own an iPhone. The rest? They wait. But never for long. Kogeto has finally announce the future release of Kogeto’s Android app to work with the Google phone Galaxy Nexus. It’s called Iconic. Such a great gift for the new year, isn’t it?

Now the big question is how is the image quality of the Iconic 360 degree lens especially on the Galaxy Nexus? Is it the same DOT 360 degree lens experience on the iPhone?

First you should know that there are three ways to attach Kogeto’s Iconic 360 degree lens on your Galaxy Nexus. One is built into the case. Second one slides over the back, and the last one that most users prefer is with the thick elastic band that stretches over the phone. The disadvantage however is that the band isn’t transparent so there is no way to see through the covered screen.

The Kogeto ICONIC is expected to go on sale by June of 2012 at the Price of $79. However you can preorder Kogeto’s Iconic 360 degree lens accessory by the end of January.
